SCI-FI ENVIRONMENT
Science fiction has always been a major passion of mine and so I wanted to create my own project that allowed me to put my spin on the genre. Like any project I start I wanted to get a good feeling for the space in which the player could move. From the outset I wanted to have an area that felt almost claustrophobic but would then open up into a larger space. This lead me to using the theme of a maintenance/storage area as it would allow me to create a dingy atmosphere but still have the ability and room unique assets for the player to look at as they moved through the environment.

I drew inspiration from Halo, Star Wars and Alien:Isolation as I began designing this project. Focusing on points of interest and colour schemes that complimented each other.
This was made using Cinema 4D, Substance Painter, Photoshop and Unreal Engine (version 4.17.2). The flickering lights and door opening were created using Blueprints.
